For Google Search, the length of the page title (SEO Title) and meta description (Description) displayed on the search results page is limited, so how long is the most appropriate?
My answer is:
Length of page title (SEO Title): number of characters--50 - 60;px length--450px-500px;
Meta description length: number of characters--145 - 155;px length--900px-1000px.
Research on the optimal length of page titles and meta descriptions
test step
1. Desktop
1. Select five words: baby bottle cat pattern, best T-shirt, how to train dogs, laptop, short hair styling, and Mental Health Diagnosis as test objects
2. Use the uibot script to grab the title and meta description of the first five pages of each search term, and then Excel counts the number of characters (since the meta descriptions retrieved by uibot were incomplete, I only analyzed the data it retrieved)
3. Use the Chrome plug-in Page Ruler to measure the title length px in different situations
4. Based on this test sample, conclusions are drawn
2. Mobile phone
1. The sample range is the same as that of the desktop. The models selected in the debugging interface are Samsung Galaxy S8+(screen pixel width: 360px) and iPhone XR (screen pixel width: 428px).
